Apparently Maya puking in Abby's eye has scarred her for life. She now approaches her sister with trepidation, fearing another attack. Today whenever Abby was within what she considered vomit-range she would shield her eyes with her hands.
"Baby Maya's going to puke on me again," she would exclaim.
Never one to miss an opportunity I scooped Maya up and held her out in front of me, brandishing her like a weapon. Which, to Abby, is exactly what she was. Abby took off running (Maya and I right behind her) with her hands still shielding her eyes and yelling at me to stop. "But Maya wants a hug, " I kept telling her.
"No she's going to puke on me!"
The game came to an abrupt halt when I finally had Abby cornered in the office and she said to me with all the disdain she could muster, "Mommy stop this nonsense!" Does it get any funnier than that?
It was nice today, almost spring like. In celebration of the nice weather Abby played outside with actual kids. The little boy (who's older than Abby) and the little girl (who's the same age) from the house behind us came over to play. We bought Abby a Little Tykes Adventure Climber for her birthday. It's an early gift, but it was such a great price we couldn't say no. So the three kids had a ball climbing all over that. Abby cried when they left to go home for dinner. This has become her trademark. Her cousins were over the day before and she ran crying to her room rather than say good bye. It's a denial thing. She thinks if she doesn't say good bye then nobody will have to go home.
