Water Babies

What a hot and busy and hot weekend that was. Oh did I mention it was hot? Thank goodness for the pool. Now as Mike has said many many times so far this summer. Who would have ever thought 10 years ago that "Joe Nobody" (I guess that's us) could walk into WalMart in the morning and purchase a pool that you could be swimming in the very next day? Our pool may not be the biggest one on the market, but it's big enough to get in and cool off. Oh and God bless who ever invented the pool noodle and the pool noodle chair. I wasted many an hour in that very invention this weekend.

Yes sir, the whole family was in the pool. That's right the whole family. Including Maya. She went for her first swim on Sunday and loved it! The girl that hates her bath, loved the pool.

She would, quite literally, go nuts while I was holding her in the water. Hands flailing, feet kicking, blowing raspberries and splashing water in her face. Big thanks to Granny for the sun hat and the huge umbrella that when positioned correctly gives Maya a nice shady spot to hang out in.

She was quite the wiggly little worm so it was nice to be able to stick her here and let her float around.

Maya's yacht was powered by her big sister.

At the end we were left with one sleepy baby wrapped up in her Cotton Ginny Eco-ganic baby towel, which is hands down the nicest baby towel I have ever used. Thanks again Granny!!

I'll leave you with a couple of Abby funnies.

While the 4 of us were chilling in the pool:
Me: Well guys......
Abby: What are you heading back up North?

I am in the process of watching the first 6 seasons of Seinfeld on DVD. I'm up to season 4 and today was watching the episode when George, while sitting in Monk's, suggests to Jerry that his show should be about nothing. Now TVtropolis, the new TV station keeps playing commercials from "The Contest" episode where George responds to Jerry asking him if he's still "Master of his Domain".
Abby, while walking past the TV: Isn't that guy the King of the county?
