Deep Even Breathing is The Key

Well folks, there's no getting around it. Back to school time has arrived.

What? Oh that crinkling noise is just the paper bag I'm hyperventilating into. Did I mention I hate back to school? Seriously, ask my Mom. She'd be happy to regal you with stories of my anxiety attacks brought on by going back to school. Even long after I was out of school and married I would still get a real anxious feeling being in a store surrounded by all the school supplies. And don't get me started about how much I hated Labour Day weekend. Still hate Labour Day weekend. It still has the power to fill me with panic and dread. Oh the dread. I remember spending many a Labour Day weekend crying and being horrified at the thought of going back to school. Good times.

Abby's school had given us a nice thick packet of information in regards to her starting school. Included in said packet was a shopping list of things we'd need to purchase to ensure that Abby's first day of J/K went off without a hitch. At the time I read the list, broke out into a bit of a sweat and then filed it away. Out of sight out of mind. But as the days of August dwindle down there can be no more burying my head in the sand. There can be no more pretending the blue list doesn't exsist. It does and I'm going to have to shop. For back to school necessities.

So off we went to Dollarama with list in hand. I have to say the list was a little vague for us first timers here. What do you mean a small place mat? How small? Plastic? Fabric? Oh and bullshit magnetic letters can be found there. Believe me I looked. Out of the 10 items we needed to pick up we managed to cross three items off. We actually only bought two of the items because I have a storage room full of Kleenex at home. Now I may have only managed to complete two of the necessary ten items on my list, but at least I did it without breaking out into hives or sobbing in the place mat aisle, but not without this.....

This is what probably kept me from freaking out. I discovered a new KitKat bar at the Dollarama. Now I'm a sucker for a new chocolate bar, but a new KitKat bar, forget about it.

This is a really shitty segue, actually it's not a segue at all, but check out the picture I snapped of Abby today. Little Miss Covergirl.

And just because I'm an awesome wife, here's a picture of Michael playing Hawian royalty with the girls. Check our flickr for pictures of the girls having their turn with the flower crown.
