There's a party going on right here

ubpbanner3-welcome

I know it may not look like it, but there is. Not just here but all over the blogosphere. The nice ladies over at 5minutes for Mom are hosting the biggest blog mixer I have ever seen. Now I must admit when I saw this posted over at bleeding espresso I really didn't think I'd be attending. You know how I get all awkward and shy in social situations. I'd just be standing there by the punch bowl all by myself, toeing the ground and trying to avoid making eye contact praying that no one would actually talk to me and yet at the same time wishing someone would. Yeah I'm just a little bit shy. Yeah, yeah I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. Just ask Papa. I don't think I said anything at all to Mike's parents for the first year or so we dated. Of course Papa has been heard to remark that it would be nice if we could go back to those days. He's a funny guy.

Today I popped over to visit Karen at Virtually There and saw she was partying it up too and I thought to myself, hey why not. At least now I had a couple of friends at the party to hang out and guzzle sip the rum punch with.

So allow myself to introduce..... myself. I am Shannon, SuperMom to Abby, 4 and Maya, 1. I have been married almost 11 years to my highschool sweetheart. I just went back to work after a year of being home with the kids. I started this blog as a record of my day to day life for my girls and also for my friends and family both near and far.

Yeah! Welcome to the shindig! That's an appropriate word for the new theme, right?

I'm glad you joined the party! I've enjoyed reading your blog. You seriously had me laughing on the post about Abby wondering why she has to do all the chores and then the post about buying concert tickets - I can TOTALLY relate to both! Thanks for the laugh!!!

Welcome to the party. I've had so much fun visiting other blogs. I too married my high school sweetie.

Neat...somebody else thought of the song "Celebration." I know I put it in some comments somewhere, at some point, some time this week. :-)

It's my first blog party too. Glad I am not the only un-social butterfly hanging out by the punch bowl.

Been roaming around the blogosphere all nite....I think I lost my keys somewhere...and I think I may have had a little too much food and drink, but I'm having a great time....
