what's cooking wednesday - bloody mary burgers

Can I tell you how much I love hamburgers? Because I do, I really do. As much as I love them I don't very often make my own, but my latest Bzz Campaign is for Tabasco sauce and my kit came with this very interesting recipe. So that and I whole bunch of ground beef I picked up on sale compelled me to give it a try.

Bloody Mary Burgers

Bloody Mary Burgers

1 lb premium ground chuck
4 - 6 shakes of tabasco sauce
4 shakes of worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1/2 tsp horseradish
1 shallot, minced
2 tbsp chopped celery tops (from the celery heart)
salt & pepper

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Divide into four patties and grill. Adjust ingredient amounts to suit your personal taste - just as you would for a Bloody Mary.

Recipe Notes: Well Mike and I, both really enjoyed this burger even if it was a little tame. Having never made it before I erred on the side of caution. Next time around I'll ratchet it up a few notches.

What's Cooking Wednesday was born out of a desire to get out of that "what's for dinner" rut. Playing is easy, wait until Wednesday rolls around and post a recipe that has been tried and tested by you. Pictures are always appreciated, but not necessary to play. Then drop me an email or leave a comment letting me know you played so I can add you to the WCW weekly master list.
