Picture it, produce department of our local retailing giant, a couple and their baby are grocery shopping, their older daughter is out of town. They are an average couple, no different than say Mike or I. In fact they are quite a lot like us, although I cannot stress enough that they are not us. Well the wife could be me, but Mike tells me the husband is definitely not him.
Husband: How much is a pineapple?
Wife: Around three bucks or so. Why?
H: I think I want a pineapple this week.
W: Okay, but get a whole pineapple, don't get the stuff that's already cut up for you. It's more expensive.
Husband, wife and baby roam the produce department looking for a pineapple.
H: I can't find one.
W: Me either.
H: Maybe they're out of season.
W: blinks
W: Ummm what was that?
H: Maybe they're out of season.
W: Okay, you realize we're in Canada, right? And it's cold up here, like, six months of the year. And pineapple is a tropical fruit.
H: Shut up.
W: So when exactly is the grow season for pineapple here in the great white north? Between March and May I think I heard.
H: Shut up.
W: You know I'm going to have to blog this, right?
