what's cooking wednesday - pudding quakes

WCWjpg

Well call me lazy if you want, but this week you get a recipe that's so quick and easy you can barely call it a recipe. Actually I blame Maya who's still not 100%. She is also up and sitting in my lap, which means I'm typing with one hand and really just want this over as quickly as possible.

Pudding Quakes

Pudding Quakes

1 pkg (4 serving size) Jello chocolate pudding
8 Oreo cookies

Prepare pudding as directed on package.

Crumble one cookie into the bottom of 4 individual dessert bowls and cover evenly with pudding.

Crumble remaining cookies and sprinkle on the top of each dish.

Recipe Notes: Abby loved helping make these and they made a great after dinner treat. These are great too because you can mix it up. Try different pudding and/or cookie flavours. I really enjoyed the chocolate pudding with the mint Oreos.

Mike 3.5/5
Shan 4/5
Abby: Can we have these again?
Maya: Ahhh-beee. AhhBee!!

What is What's Cooking Wednesday and how can I play?

What's cooking Wednesday was born out of a desire to get out of that what's for dinner rut. Playing is easy, on Wednesday post a recipe that has been tried and tested by you and then pop over here and add your name to the Mr. Linky. When entering your name also add the name of the recipe in brackets and make sure you link to your What's Cooking Wednesday post and not just your blog's front page.

So for example for last weeks post I would write Shan (Speedy Chicken Stir Fry) in the name section. For the URL section I would have posted this: http://shanrev.blogspot.com/2007/10/whats-cooking-wednesday-speedy-chicken.html

Thanks and Enjoy.

Hey, these look great--recipes don't have to be complicated to be good. And what I wouldn't give for mint Oreos...I've never even had them, but I'm a chocolate/mint luvah, so I know they'd be a hit around here (meaning in my belly). Yum.

Sometimes a little pudding is just what you need when you're having a bad week.

Michelle - Yet another thing we have in common. I love mint/chocolate. My favourite winter treat is a cup of hot chocolate with a mint tea bag in it. Thanks, Maya is feeling better today. I think the worst may be over.

bello - glad I could help out. I love that Abby thinks this dessert is so very fancy. It must have a lot to do with the wine glasses.

Awww, you're funny dahleen.

Karen - you are exactly right.
