In the thought bubble is Abby and Papa. In between them, in his hospital bed, is Ward, who this picture is for. All the printing above the thought bubble are popcorn words (words that "pop up" everywhere like can, the, is and so on). Now some of them are actual popcorn words and the rest are just how she thinks they are spelled. The two figures standing beneath the thought bubble, well that's Papa and Abby again and they are dreaming, hence the thought bubble above them. Abby told me that is her and Papa's dream, that Ward get better. I'm not going to lie to you, she brought a big ole lump to my throat with that.

First of all, I am so impressed that she would spend - what - hours? on this? That is amazing for a little girl.

Thanks Heidi. It really was an involved project. It's actually two pieces of paper stapled together to make a booklet. The picture I took is of the front page. On the next page she drew a picture of the outside of our church (Ward is one of the older members of our church). The next page has a picture of the inside of our church.
Mike and Papa took her to the hospital tonight to see Ward and he was thrilled to see her and get the picture, Roxie. Although after they had visited for a while Abby whispered in Mike's ear, "can you tell Papa to put Ward away now. I want to go home."
