This year Maya was just old enough to "help". Actually I don't know how we would have managed without her. I wasn't aware that to ensure excellent bonding of candy to icing it was important to lick each one first. Several times, in fact. In other words I wouldn't recommend nibbling. Especially the plethora of candies stuck to the roof.
I have mentioned that my Mom is a go big or go home kind of gal, so you have to know she showed up with a rice krispie house kit as well. Which wasn't as great as we were expecting, but Abby had a blast. I should mention our gingerhouse was a pre-built model which is totally the way to go. Unless of course you've participated in a ginger bread house building competition.
I don't have to tell you that the girls had a great time playing in the icing with Granny. I'm glad Mom had the time to spend this fun evening with us. And just because Granny rocks she had a new nightgown for Abby that was right up her alley.

WTG!!!Granny!!! You Rock!!!
Well, those gingerbreaad houses are usually pretty icky at the end of the holidays anyway. Maya was just doing everyone a favor by ensuring that they wouldn't be tempted.
Granny is awesome! Would she adopt me?
Oh I know Abby just loved those jammies! I worked at a Residential treatment center and one of the jobs that the residents could do was pack the plastic utensils in plastic that you get at fast food places, etc. They caught him licking the spoons before packing them. I never eat with those plastic forks without thinking of him....eeww!!
That is the perfect nightie for Abby!
You know she does Darlene!
Very good point Roxie. And I'll pass on your request to my Mom and let you know *wink*.
Okay Suze, that's just gross.
Laurel, I know. I don't have to tell you how thrilled she was to get it.
