so much snow

Wow, I can't wait for the first day of winter on the 22nd. - Mike after looking out the window, then at the calender this morning.

Kent Brockman would have classified this as a "class three kill storm". After days of talking about it that massive snowstorm finally blew in not too long after we got up this morning. Mike and Abby took the first shift of shoveling. Well Mike was shoveling, while Abby did this...

crying because Daddy wouldn't let her play with the "good shovel". And here I didn't even know we had a good shovel. So that sorted out I headed out for my shoveling shift. Which was about an hour and a half after Mike did his. There wasn't a lot of snow when I shoveled I was more out there to keep Abby company while she played.

This is the view down my street. That was pretty much the scene all day. Abby played outside for hours with the kids across the street with the exception of a couple of warm trips into the neighbour's house. When she finally came home she looked like...

Me: Boy Abby you sure look cold. I remarked as I pulled her hat off.

Abby - Yeah, but my hair looks wicked!

All told we shoveled three separate times today. The snowbanks at the end of the driveway are massive. Much bigger than the ones in the picture with Abby over at flickr. I am happy to report that it finally stopped snowing sometime late this evening. Bad news is it's calling for continuing flurries all week.

It was great day to stay in your jammies, which I did, thank you very much. Maya, however, she thought her jammies needed a little something.

She's become a mini-Abby - fashion diva!

Geez, Shan, now I feel bad that it was 60 here and I felt cold.

I love it - "my hair looks wicked!". And doesn't everyone need a little cheetah print in their outfit!? : ) Maya is a little fashion plate.

That first photo of Abby is the wintery-est looking shot I've ever seen! Adorable.

Lovely snow photos and comments from Mike and Abby :)

Also, I haven't seen your jammies, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say they could probably use a leopard print skirt too. *I'm* just sayin' ;)
