let's hope this skips maya

This weekend was booked full. Mike had volunteer related commitments that he had roped both of us into. Commitments that would require a fair bit of running around before the actual event where we did all the cake serving. Today was to be a day full of Christmas decorating topped off by my work Christmas dinner.

And then at some point this morning Abby came to me complaining of a sore stomach. Before too much longer the contents of her stomach had come up. So instead this day as been an endless cycle of reappearing toast and water. She is sleeping now in my bed with her trusty purple teddy bear and a puke bowl tucked in beside her. I am headed up to crawl in with her and get some sleep since I anticipate being up with her through the night.

I have to say though, even sick she is totally adorable. I remarked at some point today that she must have a stomach bug. Her eyes went very wide and she looked concerned so I quickly explained that I meant she was sick, her stomach was making her sick. And she very seriously told me, "I'm glad you said that. I thought there was a real bug in my stomach."

Hope the night wasn't too bad and that the "bug" doesn't end up in anyone else's stomach.

awww, poor kid! Her comment at the end was funny though. LOL Hope she feels better soon and no one else ends up with it! Though it sounds like you're doomed if you're going to be snuggled up right in the same bed as her...

I hope she feels better soon! And here's hoping it skips not only Maya, but you and Mike, too. Good luck getting the decorating done!
