So Mike's going to be working nights for the next little while. Leaving me here to share our bed with a six year old who takes up a shocking amount of real estate, needs more than her fair share of the covers and who might snore, just a little bit.
So far things have been going surprisingly well despite my paranoia over things that go bump in the night. Of course I had to go and jinx myself by patting myself on the back for acting like such a big girl. And now Zebby cat has been wearing a hole in the floor pacing back and forth in front of the stove. The only logical conclusion to the question why.... is we are now hosting an uninvited guest of the rodent persuasion. The way I see my best course of action is to head upstairs, get into bed, close my door and hope that;
a) The mouse decides that, snow outside or not, it's just not worth it to stay here.
b) Zebby cat takes care of the problem without feeling it necessary to share his kill with me.
c) They keep this standoff going until morning when Mike can take care of the problem.
Any of these options is good with me. And now I'm off to read Twilight until I can't keep my eyes open any longer. I estimate I might get through a page. Maybe a page and a half.

Happy day!!:-)))
ack! I don't like when Dan's gone at night either. THings DEFINATELY go bump in the night when he's away! LOL
I've started reading Twilight as well. got bullied into it by too many people and am about 1/3 of the way through
Thank goodness for Zebby the cat! To prevent future visits from unwanted rodent guests, you can get a nifty little device from the hardware store. You plug it in and it emits such a high frequency, rodents stay as far away as possible. Best part is that it doesn't bother humans, cats, or dogs! My two cats don't even notice it, and ever since I plugged it in, we've never even had a rodent consider visiting.
I do not like little things that run across the floor uninvited.
Julie - Nope, no presents. I opened the cupboard door he was so interested in getting into and he lost interest immediately. So who knows, maybe he's crazy.
Shinade - Thanks! I am over the moon about it. Ana did a lovely job. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Leah - Yeah it's so quiet when he's not here I hear everything. It hasn't been too bad though. How are you liking Twilight?
Kristina - I wondered if those worked. I'll have to invest in one.
Angela - I know what you mean. Blech!
