getting close
Well we are in the home stretch folks. There seems to be lots of little last minute things and loose ends to deal with in the next 24 hours. I'm hoping to blast through them as quick as I can and then give the house a quick tidy before Dave and Mel arrive. I am so excited! Have I mentioned that a few hundred dozen times already? I don't think I've had a Christmas I felt this excited about since I was a kid. It's a great feeling!

I was stressing this year BIG TIME for weeks... What to buy for three kids who already have plenty? What to buy for my parents and in-laws, who can (and have!) bought themselves everything they could possibly want, and none of whom really have any hobbies? How to pay for said presents? How to get out for the final items when it's snowy and icy and I don't know how to drive in the stuff?
But then, the money appeared in the way of an unexpected bonus for Dan at work, and Toys R Us had some things that sparked my interest. A friendly neighbor ran some late-night errands yesterday and invited me along... And now, I have gifts for everyone, everything is wrapped, and I am EXCITED in a way I haven't felt excited in a very long time, as you mentioned of yourself. Isn't it a wonderful feeling????
I don't have ANYTHING wrapped EEK!
Have a wonderful Christmas, Shan! I have been stress-free for a few days b/c we had to have everything ready early so we could go to the farm. Since the farm is 1 hour from the nearest mall & 30 minutes from the nearest Wal-Mart, we had everything done before we came. It definitely keeps me from spending too much on those last minute "OMG I forgot..." purchases!
