less

Tonight I let the kids decorate the tree. It's not quite perfect. There are some areas that are devoid of ornaments and there are some that are a little bit ornament heavy, but I left them to it and swore to myself that I wouldn't move a single ornament when they were done. Not all of the ornaments made it out of their boxes.I only took a handful of Christmas cheer out to sprinkle around the house. I've decided that my theme of less is more this year can extend to the decorating too. I'll be thrilled in the new year when it's time to pack it all up. Easy peasy.

The days seem to be flying by. In a blink Christmas will be here. I'm not quite done my shopping, but it's okay. It will all get done. My goal is to have it all done and ready to go by December 22nd. Uncle Dave and Auntie Mel are due to roll into town right after that and I want to be able to sit and chat and watch dvds and play board games and laugh and soak up every minute of their visit because you just never know when we'll all be together again.
