Tonight the kids and I indulged in a little do-goodery and delivered some treats to one of our favourite neighbourhood families. I thought they could probably use a little pick me up and baking is what I do, so...




...on the way back from that little project we got caught up in an impromptu game of baseball in another neighbour's backyard.




With her big sister and friend "going easy on her" Maya managed to get all the way home, something that thrilled her to no end.

Later Abby slid into third and despite having no real baseball experience, she was safe. She very proud of herself. She also had a huge smear of mud down her leg.

Abby: I cannot wait to get home and show Dad my skid mark!
Me: Umm, Abby that's not a skid mark. A skid mark is a whole different thing.
