sunday randoms

We had a quiet and yet busy weekend. We had to take the girls to art school this weekend since Grandma Linda was unavailable, which led to a delightful breakfast date at a tiny little place. Had eggs benedict for the first time in my life and did not regret it one bit. They were so delicious that Mike informed the waitress that we'd be back next Saturday so he could order them as well.

Finally got our hands on season four of Parks and Rec. I forgot just how much I loved Ron Swanson.

I've been trying my hand at making bread without using my breadmaker. So far there have been no real disasters and I'm really enjoying it. Also it seems easier than in the breadmaker. I don't know why that is though.

So the search for a new to us car has begun in earnest. It's been a lot of talking around in circles so far as I'm sure these things go. We've settled on the type of vehicle, now to find one that fits our criteria. Also need to get Mike to stop attempting to change the criteria. Fingers crossed this ends up being a relatively painless process.

I am not one to complain about the weather per se, but I'm so over this winter. I cannot wait for spring and running outside. The whole healthier lifestyle thing has been really really hard since Christmas. I am up a bit which is so discouraging, but still substantially down over all. Trying really hard to look on the bright side. It just goes back on so easily. This past week I had nose back to the grindstone, work outs five days last week. I've signed up for a race at the end of the month which has been a great kick in the pants. I'm forcing myself to pretend I love running on the treadmill, but I really don't. I did get three runs in last week though, so go me!

How have you all been? What's new?
