Well finally a little bit of good news. Maya went all night without incident. That's one day closer to bringing her home. I was so relieved when I talked to the nurse this afternoon I can't even tell you. Mom and I went down to see her after she was done work. She was just finishing up her bottle when we got there and she stayed awake for nearly an hour. That was a nice surprise. Usually we're there to see her a little later in the evening and she pretty much sleeps right through our visits. Poor little thing had a horrendous case of the hiccups, so I'm pretty sure that's what kept her awake so long. Whatever, at this point I'll take what I can get.
Mom and I stayed with her for just over an hour. Then she had plans to meet some girls from work to check out some amazing stained glass at a ladies house. Since she offered to buy me dinner later I tagged along. As we were leaving Mike showed up with Yoles and they cuddled with Maya for an hour or so. So Maya got lots of baby love today.
Mom and I went out for Mexican food. Very yummy. They serve giantic portions at Mexicali Rosa's and I ended up bringing about half my dinner home. Woohoo, good lunch for me tomorrow. It was nice to be out and doing something for a change. The last couple of weeks have either been home, hospital or dropping Abby off somewhere. A big treat has been going to WalMart for groceries and baby supplies. You know just in case she ever gets to come home. So I had a nice dinner out with my lovely Mom, too bad we didn't have room for dessert, cause they looked good, but I'm not complaining.
Mike and I watched Mr and Mrs Smith the other night. In an effort to bring back a bit of normalcy to our lives. I really enjoyed it and I wasn't sure if I would being a card carrying Team Aniston memeber. Even though Jen and I aren't talking right now since she started dating my secret boyfriend Vince Vaughn. Brad and Angelina were actually very good on camera. Brad plays that kind of charming smooth character to perfection doesn't he? It was a really good action movie and I would recommend it, if you haven't seen it.
Abby's cold is slowly getting better. She wasn't coughing much at all today until we headed outside for a walk. By the time we got to the corner she was coughing her little face off. So we turned right around, made a quick stop at the mail box and got her back inside where it was warm. She had her "bubble gum drink" before bed and she's been relatively quiet up there. Hopefully both my girls will be 100% soon.
