The Streak Continues

FIVE DAYS!! Woo hoo! We are now at 5 days and counting. The anticipation is definitely starting to build. In two very short days Maya could be home. I'm so excited I can't even stand it. Still, though I'm trying to remain very cool about the whole thing.

Mike and his Mom went to see Maya today while I spent the day with Abby. We watched the Prince of Egypt and Hercules for the 312th and 472nd times respectively. It was actually a pretty low key day. Abby for the most part was well behaved. The only hiccup was when I found her with dirt under her fingernails. Under questioning she finally admitted to digging in the mud. Translation; she'd been throwing dirt out of the plant and on to the floor. I have one plant in the house, a gift from Robin and Tim, and she's never even looked twice at it before. Now, though, she starts flinging dirt around.

Abby and I talked today about Maya coming home. I asked if she would like to help with the baby and she said she would. So we discussed the things she could help with, like changing diapers, feeding her, taking her for walks and singing to her. I asked if there was anything else she could help with. Her answer; "No, that's enough."
