So what is a BzzAgent? Well to borrow a phrase from their website; "BzzAgent is a network of volunteer brand evangelists who participate in Word-of-Mouth (WOM) campaigns." In simple terms this company sends out product for you to try out, form your own opinion and then spread the word. In return you receive BzzPoints based on what kind of Bzz you created. I love any and all kinds of market research type programs. I was an AC Neilson scanner participant for a while, but found that program wasn't a great fit for me. I take product surveys at Pinecone Research. I was intrigued by this particular program because I have seen first hand the power of word of mouth. A lot of our business is a direct result of word of mouth.
Plus I've already been giving word of mouth campaigns for free all by myself. I can't wait to tell everybody and anybody when I use an exceptional product (I talked for days about my Mr Clean magic Eraser.... everybody with kids should have one btw), get a great price (Cool Quenchers drink mix at No Frills on for 77 cents and I had 30 cent off coupons) or receive incredible service some where. The first campaign I was chosen for (the day I applied) is to read the newset book by Marian Keyes, Anybody Out There. This book is currently selling at amazon for $18.00. So woo hoo, free book, just for telling you all about it after I read it and I would have done that anyway. Have I mentioned I love reading. Especially chick lit, much to my brother's disappointment. I cannot wait to get my hands on this book. I've read Marian Keyes before and loved her. If you've enjoyed the Shopaholic series then Marian Keyes is the writer for you. I don't know what about British writers makes them so hot right now, but I'm loving that they are.
It seems like a great program. When you sign up they offer a range of surveys for you to take (that also earn you BzzPoints) that will help match you to campaigns that would interest you. They also have a training program that gives you a greater feel of the program and how to relay effective Bzz about a product. Americans have always been welcome at BzzAgent, but they've just started recruiting Canadians so head over and sign up. What have you got to lose?
