Flips

Well Abby and Grandma Linda recently spent the day together doing what all woman love to do; shoe shopping and having lunch. It's no secret Abby has a love affair going with shoes. She currently has more pairs than her father and I put together. Truth be told, some of those pairs are play/dress up shoes, but Abby refuses to see them as such. According to her they're fair game to wear anywhere. Which explains why she wears her glass slippers to church just about every week.

Now Grandma Linda was trying to be helpful and taking Abby to get herself some sandals for the summer. So I ask you is it any wonder that a little girl who's shoe collection looks like this;




picked these as her summer sandals.


Don't you love the green nail polish? These are her precious "flips with the sparkles" that she had to have and refused to try on anything that may have been considered practical. The kid has style, I'll give her that. Plus it's been amusing watching her learn to walk in flip flops. When they first came home it was more of a straight leg Frankenstein kind of shuffle, but she's been improving. In fact she actually wore them out to run an errand with Mike the other night with no problems.
