It's All In The Numbers

Well I promised you all a numberific account of our frugal family holiday to my brother's basement and since I'm a woman of my word here it is.

  • Time of travel: 2 hours 31 minutes
  • Amount of time Maya spent sleeping: 2 hours 1 minute
  • Amount of time Maya spent crying: 30 minutes
  • Amount of time Abby spent sleeping: 45 minutes
  • Amount of time Abby spent crying: 15 minutes
  • Number of times Abby asked, "Are we there yet?": 47
  • Distance from our house when she asked, "Are we there yet?" the first time: 0.5 kms
  • Average temperature in Peterborough on Tuesday: 36.7 degrees
  • And with the humidex it felt like: 1258 44 degrees
  • It was the hottest day in: 113 years

  • Number of animals making any kind of movement at all at the Peterborough Zoo on Tuesday: 0
  • Number of times Uncle Dave's been on the Zoo train: 57

  • Number of trips Uncle Dave and Abby took down the giant slide: 1

Hi Shannon,

I'm a Bzzagent too. I got your blog address off of an email I got today. Started looking around your blog & it's great. I almost peed my pants reading all the 4 year old-isms. I have two stepchildren, Will (8) & Nicole (6), so we have some pretty funny conversations too.

Your holiday post is really timely too b/c we leave on our big family holiday tomorrow. We're breaking it up over two days of driving with about 5 hours each day. I figure our "are we there yet" quota will be very, very large. :)
