Happy Birthday Grandma Sandi

Today we wish a very happy birthday to Grandma Sandi. Just to mix things up. Keep everything fresh. I offer you the 56 reasons why we love her.

1. She gave birth to my wonderful husband.
2. She thinks I'm a pretty good cook.
3. She always willing to babysit.
4. She makes a pretty mean potato salad (and I don't even like potato salad normally)
5. She's very generous.
6. She shares her love of horses with Abby.
7. She took Abby to gymnastics.
8. She treats us to dinner.
9. She likes to show up with little treats for the girls.
10. Sometimes there is even treats for Mike and I.
11. She bought me some very cool pink flip flops.
12. She thinks Abby's the smartest kid going.
13. She thinks Maya has beautiful skin.
14. She thinks Maya got it from me (even though she really didn't)
15. She's pretty okay with the fact that her sons mock her relentlessly.
16. She's already offered to watch the girls when I go back to work.
17. When Abby sleeps over she always makes her pancakes.
18. She takes Abby out for lunch with her friends.
19. She offered to take Maya over night so I can sleep.
20. She's always willing to give the girls a bath when she's here.
21. She has a bedroom for Abby at her house.
22. She has an insane amount of toys at her house for Abby.
23. She bought Abby a pony, Last Chance.
24. She loves Chance even if he is rather on the cranky side.
25. She takes Abby to the stable to visit Star
26. She shares our love for Seinfeld and the Simpson's.
27. She can hold her own when the guys start throwing quotes from those show around.
28. She always asks after our friends.
29. She kept Abby with her while I was in the hospital after having Maya.
30. She's a pretty wicked poker player.
31. She likes to play games both of the card and the board variety.
32. She always makes sure she has treats for Abby in the house.
33. Somewhere she found Abby's tiny work gloves. Which Abby just loves to death.
34. She donated money to the hospital the girls were born in.
35. She took me to my first ultrasound for Maya.
36. She arranges playdates and sleepovers for Abby and her cousin/BFF Justin.
37. She has a Sodoku addiction.
38. She always has cold iced tea at her place.
39. She's always willing to help out in anyway she can.
40. We've played many invented sports at her place, like killer frisbee.
41. We've had many a summer bbq/bonfire parties at her place.
42. She makes a great no bake cheesecake.
43. She spoils us.
44. She thinks all the pictures I take of the kids are great.
45. She always calls to check in after big and little events like Doctor's appointments, trips to visit Dave and Mel and so on.
46. She has a cross word puzzle addiction.
47. She's a real Beatles freak.
48. She's always up for a game of Scrabble.
49. She kept Grandma's Scrabble board.
50. She finally got Grandma's dining room table set up.
51. She bought Abby a small saddle and a riding helmet.
52. I have no doubt she'll have Abby in riding lessons in the next few years.
53. She'll also have her at riding camp.
54. Abby thinks she a pretty great Grandma.
55. She contributes to Abby's Polly Pocket and toy horse addiction.
56. The girls are luckt to have yet another very involved Grandparent.
