Friday Favourites - Things About Fall

I think fall is my favourite season. I love that crisp feeling in the area, the crunch of leaves on the ground. I think I could be happy if it was fall all year round.

Fall means apple pie. I have mentioned before my Mom's apple pie making frenzy that arrived every fall like clock work. There is no better smell in the world than an oven full of apple pies.

Fall means Thanksgiving. A reason to gather your family together and stuff yourselves silly. For most people the turkey is the star of this autumn holiday feast. For me it's all about the vegetables. Brussel sprouts, cheese cauliflower and squash these are all veggies I don't get at any other time of the year.

Fall means it's fair season once again. Fresh cut fries, mini donuts, running into people from high school, the merry go round, getting to experience it through Abby's eyes, carrying on a family tradition.

And let's not forget Halloween. Now I have never been much of a Halloween fan. People in costumes have always really unnerved me, but I have been surpsied to find that this year I'm actually looking forward to it. I have a porch full of pumpkins that I plan on carving. There's pumpkin shaped cakes to make for the neighbours. Abby and I even have plans to make a scarecrow for the front porch.

What's your favourite thing about Fall?
