I'm in Love

Well NaBloPoMo is over and yet I still feel the urge to post everyday. Even if it is just to tell you about the most decadent cookie/bar/square type thing I have ever eaten. At first glance it looks like your ordinary run of the mill nanaimo bar, but it's so much more than that. A nanaimo bar is nothing compared to this. Nothing, I tell you. I can't understand how I've gone over 30 years without ever having tasted a caramel square. What's a caramel square you ask? Well it's three layers of buttery baked goodness. A shortbread base, thick caramel center and a thin layer of glossy chocolate on top. Sounds good, doesn't it? Do you want one right now? Yeah, me too.

I trust that you will be posting this recipe soon?

Boasting about eating great tasting sweets and then not sharing the recipe is considered cruel and unusual punishment

After the first bite I started demanding who had made them so I could first, kiss them on the mouth and second, beg incessantly for the recipe. Would you believe I already had it at home in my church cook book?

So don't worry Yvonne, I'll totally hook you up.

Funny, I don't remember them, but then I was always focused on the belgian cookies.
