Today Abby used the internet all by herself. And by all by herself I mean her father connected her to the internet and loaded up her desired page and then we hovered near by just in case she stumbled into a chat room or started making herself a page on myspace. Lucky for us she was only interested in playing some web based games derived from her favourite TV programs. For her first foray onto the information super highway she did great. She was able to navigate her way around, moving between games like a seasoned pro. I have to admit I was all puffed up with pride as I always am when I have the opportunity to see her conquer a new skill. Then I realized this meant I was going to have yet another person vying for internet time on my the family computer. Oh how I long for the days when my family was ignorant of such things as iPods and treehousetv.com
