I have recently been introduced to the totally addictive world that is facebook.com. I don't want to tell you how much time I've wasted there today clicking through my friends to see who their friends are to see who their friends are and so on and so on. The good thing is I have nothing else to do. HA! Yeah, right.
Sounds like a perfect time for a meme, doesn't it? I stole this one from Sass Attack.
1. Can you cook? If yes do you like to cook?
Well if you've spent anytime at all around here, it's easy to see the answer is yes and yes.
2. When does your whole family come together to eat?
Well the four of us will eat dinner anytime between 5 and 6 every night. Most nights we sit down together, but some nights are a do your own thing night. As for the "whole family", the major holidays and most birthdays and a bunch of just because dinners in between.
3. What do you have for breakfast?
When I think to grab something on the way out the door, it usually a granola bar, sometimes PB & J. When I remember.
4. When, where and how do you eat through the week?
Breakfast 6:45 am, a granola bar in the car.
Lunch 11ish usually leftovers from the night before while I chat with Darlene.
Dinner 5ish, that's what I aim for anyway. Something off the meal plan.
5. How often do you eat out?
Much much less than we used to. Once or twice a month. Maybe.
6.How often do you order in or get take out?
Almost never.
7.Re: 5 & 6 - if money were no object would like to do it more often?
No I don't think so. I'd rather spend the money on groceries and cook myself. Although having the option to go out more often would be nice.
8.Are there any standards that make a regular appearance at your table?
Well I have a four year old and a one year old so, yeah. Chicken fingers and frozen pizza. For us grown ups taco salad and tikka masala.
9.Have you ever tried a recipe from another blog?
Yep I sure have.
10.Are there any quarrels because of food?
Only when Mike insists on stirring my pots while I'm cooking.
11.Are you a vegetarian or could you imagine living as a vegetarian?
I like some vegetarian dishes, but I'm not willing to give up meat just yet. We actually don't eat a lot of red meat. More chicken than anything.
12.What would you like to try out that you haven't dared yet?
Nothing comes to mind right away.
13.Would you rather cook or bake?
That's a tough one, but I lean towards cooking. Baking is more exact, more mess and more work.
14.What was the most terrible mess you've ever made in the kitchen?
Umm anytime I bake. Just as Michael, he'd happily bitch about it for hours.
15.What do your kids like to eat best? What would your kids never eat?
Chicken fingers, hamburgers, hotdogs and pizza are always okay. Vegetables and fuit never are, but she tells me she plans on eating them when she's older, so at least there's hope.
16.What do you dislike most?
Spam, it makes me ill. I can't stand the look or the smell of it. Both Abby and Mike eat it while I dry heave. Also cottage cheese and anything cherry flavoured. Blech.
Hmm how about some tags? Hey Darlene, Delores, sognatrice and Karen you're all it, no touch backs!

Oh man, SPAM. That is one innovation from my home state of Minnesota that I am not proud of.
Of course, I eat canned tuna. Is that really any better?
