Mike and Abby have just arrived back from running some errands. "Hey," Mike calls out, "check out this new song I just heard."
Abby stands in front of me giving me that "I'm so cute you couldn't possibly get mad at me" smile and she begins to sing....
Head and shoulders, knees and toes and boobies
Head and shoulders, knees and boobies and toes
She stops and waits for my reaction. I meet her gaze and raise one eyebrow. Okay, not really because I can't do that, but I really wish I could for exactly moments like these. Anyway, there were are, eye to eye and she says...
"What?! It's a part of my body. Boobies are a part of our body, Mom"
And once again, it is impossible to argue with logic like that.

Too funny! Where do they get all that logic from? I have a funny "boobie story". I was feeding Evan at Nana's house & Papa Don's grandchildren were there. They were very interested in what was going on. I said "Evan's drinking boobie milk. Did you do that when you were a baby?" They looked shocked & mortified (they are 2 & 4). They said "No, no, no...we drank bottle milk". They then shot me one more weirded out look & slowly backed away. I think I may have scared them for life. :)
really i find that you can build an entire blog around the things your kids will say!!
