Tonight Abby, Papa and I headed out to swimming lessons leaving Mike and Maya on their own. We were gone a little more than an hour and this is what met us at the back door when we arrived home.
Somehow while being "watched" by her father she managed to remove her shirt (this is a new one), get a hold of a pen and deface her torso. Now I must point out that the kitchen and living room were cleaned and he also emptied and loaded the dish washer. So a little body art seems a small price to pay. Has to be less dangerous than playing with a toy made in China.

I love your blog! Your kids are adorable. I would like to suggest you be careful with the pictures you post or maybe hide them somehow ?! There are a lot of creeps out there on the web and I've heard some horrible stories.
At lest she removed the new shirt before she got busy with the pen.
Sadly, Mindy is probably right. Good topic for discussion here - How much is safe to show? How to block out faces if that's what you decide to do? Live in fear, or share the joy? Where's the balance?
I could've been her face that was done up all pretty with ink. Or with a permanent marker. Poor Maya - she's just a budding artist.
Too, too cute! Look how proud she is :)

Shan - what a cute and well written story! I love to read your writing and that is an adorable picture of the "daddy mistake". See ya.
