a mild case of hypothermia

Today Mike and I stood outside for four hours barbecuing hot dogs and sausages in an effort to raise funds for Abby's school, one of the lowest funded in the district. It was only four hours, but it felt like around fourteen because folks it was COLD outside. Now the thermometer claimed it was 1 degree (that would be 32 degrees for my Yankee friends), but with that bitter wind it felt much much colder. Surprisingly enough we did a fairly brisk business and by the end of the day we'd raised $300 for the school. I'm sure that's worth the toes I lost to frost bite.

OMG u are a brave women, but you did a great job. Isn't it sad when alot of these schools don't get the funding and equipment they need. My daughters soon to be school, which is brand new btw, doesn't have any play equipment outside. OMG. No wonder kids end up in trouble in the worse way. I am already thinking of ways to raise money for the school. I was thinking Bake sale.

Good Luck with future fundraising.

What's a few toes for a good cause huh? Saves you time on the pedicure.
