the snow!

They are calling it Snowmageddon, this dumping of snow we received today with more expected on Sunday and Tuesday. It's seems impossible to me when our driveway was plowed in with over three feet of snow. Just as it got dark the snow appeared to be tapering off (for the time being) so Mike and I headed outside to dig ourselves out.

The thing that really sucks about shoveling snow is it's back breaking labour and it seems never ending. I mean we shoveled and shoveled and it seemed like we were making very little progress. Have a mentioned before that I have incredible neighbours? Because we do. After we had been at it for a little while we had one neighbour show up with his snow scoop. Then another neighbour showed up with his snow blower. Then another neighbour showed up with his snow blower, which unfortunatley sucked up my ad bag. I am equal parts thankful he did not break his snow blower on my driveway and annoyed that the ad bag was destroyed beyond recognition. I love my flyers. So thanks to our tag teaming snowblowing friends the driveway was clear in no time. Guess who just moved way up on the Christmas cookie list?! Especially after he promised to be back after Sunday's storm.

While we were dealing with the shoveling Abby was running around the neighbourhood with her friends. After an hour or so she came marching back up the driveway her toque completely covered in show yelling, "I have to go inside. I have a brain freeze!"

Hee hee...I love snowstorms, but the shoveling? That I don't miss at all. Enjoy :)

wow, great neighbors, for sure!

Funny about Abby! We'll be heading out into our snow as soon as the kids finish breakfast, but as you'll see from my blog entry today, we won't be having the grandest time possible... Though I guess I could be surprised!

I wish we had neighbours like that! Abby's comment is just too funny!

We didn't get as much as you guys, but 20cm is still nothing to sneeze at. Living in the city, there just isn't anywhere to put it!! Hopefully yesterday's dump wasn't too bad for you.

Angel - yes we really lucked out in the neighbour department.

Betsy - it was quite the production.

Michelle - yeah, shoveling sucks!

Leah - yes they are.

Julie - We live in a rural area, but still running out of room. Luckily the rain has gotten rid of quite a bit of it.
