cookie bouquets

Valentine's Day isn't really a big deal in our house. Mike and I don't exchange cards or anything on a normal, but I did want to do a little something special for the girls. So I attempted cookie bouquets.

Turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

You made those? They are spectacular!

Seeing your baked goods on your blog makes me think I need a piping kit. There's so much icing goodness I am missing out on!

Lynn - Yep I sure did! Thanks, I was very proud of them. And you definitely need a piping kit. Actually I would recommend going to the BulkBarn (you're in Canada I think... right?) and buy the tips you'll use most, like the writing tips and star tips. Buy 3 or four of each and disposable piping bags. They sell them loose there. It's so much easier to load up all your bags with your different colours and then play. No worrying about cleaning or changing bags or tips for colour changes. For the cookies I didn't bother with tips, just trimmed off the end of a disposable bag. Just the very tip.

Merry - thanks, the girls loved them.

Normie - aww thanks buddy!! You're making me blush.

Faith - Thanks I was very happy with how it all turned out.

They look really great!! I kept looking down from the text, to see if they were professionally made. I decided yes. Awesome!!!

I soooooooooo miss the Bulk Barn!!! These people in America have NO idea what they are missing out on. If I won the lottery, I think I would open up Tim Horton's locations in more states and open Bulk Barns.

seriously CUTE!!!! I used V-day as my excuse to give the kids a few things I've had stashed for birthdays and was just too excited to wait that long. HA HA!

LOVE the cookie bouquet idea!!!
