what's cooking wednesday

Well I thought we were in the clear, but just as we were getting ready to walk out the door this morning Abby succumbed to the same stomach virus that Maya had on the weekend. About that I have this much to say... "almost seven" is way better than "just turned three" when you're talking stomach viruses. She is sleeping for the moment and I feel I should get in some sleep while I can. My stomach is beginning to protest and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find myself sick before morning. Not that I'm looking forward to that, but what are you going to do? Kids and germs and all that. Pre-kids I had a Seinfeldesque no vomiting streak going that I was very proud of.

I'm going to assume that all of you are much healthier than my family is right now, so I'll set up the Mr. Linky, but I just don't have it in me to type out a recipe and review right now. So here's to better health and Happy What's Cooking Wednesday to you.

What is What's Cooking Wednesday and how can I play?

What's cooking Wednesday was born out of a desire to get out of that what's for dinner rut. Playing is easy, on Wednesday post a recipe that has been tried and tested by you and then pop over here and add your name to the Mr. Linky. When entering your name also add the name of the recipe in brackets and make sure you link to your What's Cooking Wednesday post and not just your blog's front page. And don't forget to link back here, the home of What's Cooking Wednesday.

So for example I would write Shan (Speedy Chicken Stir Fry) in the name section. For the URL section I would post this: http://shanrev.blogspot.com/2007/10/whats-cooking-wednesday-speedy-chicken.html

I'll let you in on a little secret, my WCW recipes are almost never made on a Wednesday. So feel free to cook and photograph whenever you have time and join us posting on Wednesday.

Oh no! I hope you're all feeling better soon. I made chicken and rice soup today...perhaps that can help?

I hope your stomach was protesting for other reasons and you didn't succumb to the inevitable. Take care,

We're in the same boat here. Tyler (6) started just before he came home from school (leaving his mark on a couple friends backpacks...) I'm hoping it ends with him...

When feeling queasy, pressed for time or just plain sick of it all, leftovers and love are the trick to presto healing. Exactly what I submitted for this week's WCW. Get well soon and enjoy.
