night out at the farm

Last night we were lucky enough to get an invite to dinner at ML & T's house. The kids were beyond excited because they live on a farm and there is just so much to see! and do! and oh my the excitement. So we had a lovely dinner and conversation, interrupted though it was by our two girls and their two boys. Then it was outside to explore. Not that we got much further than the pond.



Mike and I are still both surprised that Maya was willing to put on a life jacket never mind get in the boat and head out for a little paddle. Once she was out there ML had a hard time convincing her that they should head back in.



Then there was baby cows to look at and a trampoline to jump on. And a slide and monkey bars. I'm sure you can imagine the struggle it was when it was time to go home. Luckily ML bribed them with beautiful peonies to take home and promises that they could come again very soon.
