celebrated

So we celebrated The Abster's birthday like it was 1999. What? Apparently I've been hanging out with Mike in his time machine where he listens to the Spice Girls and Billy Idol on CD... yes actual CD's. Anyhoo..... we had the grandparents come over for a little dessert party. Cupcakes, caramel pretzel brownies (oh my yum!), snickerdoodle blondies (oh my yum times ten!) and a big bowl of cookies that disappeared very quickly. It was pretty much a perfect evening.

On her birthday we sealed our position as "the best parents EVAH!!" and gave her all 8 Harry Potter movies. To say she was thrilled would be an understatement. We had dinner at Montana's where I gave in to temptation and a little peer pressure and ordered the skillet chocolate chip cookie. It was so delicious, Mike and I have already planned to go back just for dessert.

Not an overly lavish celebration, but I think she was happy.
