While we love a lot of things about our house it is not an ideal entertaining house in the winter. Over a hundred years ago when this house was built the words "open concept" and "entertaining space" had not yet been uttered, but none of those things deterred us from stuffing it to the gills with some of our very best friends to celebrate Michael's 40th birthday.
It was my favourite type of evening. Time spent laughing and talking with the people that make our life incredible. There was a completely perfect level of trash talk, funny stories, hugs, laughs, and hide and seek..... just the kids were playing that one. Rumor has it there was also an over abundance of food. At a Revill event? Unheard of! We had some surprises guests and some early leavers, but we were happy to have everyone here even if just for a little while.
So thank you to all the fine folks that came to help Mike celebrate a milestone birthday. Thank you for spoiling the birthday boy, completely unnecessary, your presence was gift enough, but the gesture was very much appreciated. Thank you all for being such a giant part of the good in our lives. If you had even a fraction of the fun that we both had, we'll declare it a rousing success!
