I think....

that Abby may be destined to be a Rock Star. About a month ago we had dinner with some friends, they have a three year old son. Our firends had purchased their son a mini drum kit and microphone (with stand) for Christmas and Abby was all over it. She tried out the drums, but quickly realized what her true calling is. She made Mike play the drums for her while she stepped up to the mic. She had true rock and roll stance, feet apart, leaning into the microphone, one hand on the mic, the other hand lower down on the mic stand and her mouth right up against it "singing" her guts out. I wish I had been able to get a picture of it.

Fast foward to this afternoon we're in the car and listening to the radio. This Love by Maroon 5 is playing. Abby's in her car seat "dancing". The song ends and Abby's talking, but I couldn't quite make out what she was saying. So I ask her to repeat herself and she does. After a couple more times Mike and I realize she's singing This Love, the song that was just playing. We couldn't believe it. American Idol here we come!
