Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Well lets deal with the most obvious thing first shall we? Big changes here in Bloggerville. After much research I have decided to stay put for the time being. I did attempt to build a new blog over at Wordpress, but was left rather unsatisfied by the whole ordeal. The only real advantage of Wordpress over Blogger, for me, was the ability to sort my posts into categories. Other than that I found it way too restrictive from a design standpoint if you were using their free service on Wordpress.com. I realize if I had hosted the blog myself and just powered it with Wordpress I wouldn't have those restrictions, but it's all about the freebies. Plus I would of had to give up my Google Adsense ads and with that the whopping 10 cents I've made so far. If being on the Debt Diet has taught me anything it's to never just throw money away.

So armed with my limited knowledge of HTML and web design I began searching the internet for ways to spruce up my tiny corner of the web. I found a template I liked right away, but for some reason I couldn't get it to install properly. Too bad because it was a purty one. Not that I'm complaining, I really like this one as well. The thing I'm most happy about is the new three column layout. Just like all the cool kids have. I haven't felt this cool since my 9th birthday when I got Jordache jeans and boot roller skates. That was the birthday my brother accused me, in his daily journal no less, of acting hot. Damn skippy I was. Are you kidding me? They were Jordache jeans.

So with all the extra space I'm offering you a peak into my media lifestyle. You can check out what I'm currently reading, the last movie I saw and the CD I just can't take out of the CD player. Well actually that's a bit of a lie right now. I haven't actually purchased my secret boyfriend Tim McGraw's new Greatest Hits album, but I promise you when I do it will be permanently installed in the CD player.

In other news. Other bigger news. Much much bigger news. If you're a parent you will totally appreciate this. Maya. Slept. Through. The. Night. Yes folks, just days shy of her 4 month birthday Maya slept from 9 pm-ish to 6 am-ish. Can I get a hell ya? I can't tell you how nice it was to sleep from midnight until 4 am. Oh what's that? Yes I'm aware that Maya slept from 9pm-6am but her older sister was being a pain in the ass so excited about going to the sitter's to play with the kids today that she was up at 4 am ready to go. If she couldn't go to Lyn's right then she wanted to talk about going to Lyn's. So she sat on my pillow at 4 in the morning talking and talking and talking. Then she got out of our bed to go and get her pillow, then her blanket, then her cup of water. She tried lying down with her pillow and blanket on the, oh so comfortable, wood floor beside our bed. Next thing she's back in our bed squishing me into the middle. She won't sleep in the middle because she's afraid her Dad will fart on her. And it's a legitimate fear. Then she thought she could get comfortable if she curled up in between my feet at the end of the bed. Then she wanted to talk some more and maybe I could tickle her back too.

Now it's my own fault I didn't go to bed until midnight. You see NBC supersized Will & Grace, My Name is Earl and The Office starting at 8. Which, of course, is the same time Survivor is on. Therefore I was forced to stay up and watch a west coast feed of Survivor at 11 pm our time, 8 pm their time. I can't believe Will & Grace is almost finished forever. Only my love of The Office (if you're not watching The Office, I have to ask, why the hell not?) is keeping me from sobbing uncontrollably.

So there you have it. I hope you enjoy the new look.
