Of course I am doing some cooking or rather baking. Tonight Mike and I planned on sharing the breadmaker to make our loaves of cheese bread for judging at the fair. Mike let me go first, which I thought was nice of him, until...................
The bugger collapsed my loaf of bread while "taking a peek" at it while it was cooking. He claims it was an "accident", but I'm having a hard time buying that one. Now I have to get up extra early to put another loaf on. Now if he does go on to win the competition I'm afraid I'll have to put an asterisk beside it. The win will be forever tainted.
Oh and did I mention on top of everything else Mike and I volunteered to design the School Fair's contribution to the decorated pumpkin auction. Each Fair committee decorates a pumpkin to be on display for the weekend before being auctioned off Sunday afternoon to help raise funds to bus inner city kids to the fair. Last year we had no idea what the heck we were doing, but we brought our A game this year.....
Okay, that's it for me. Back I go to my kitchen that is covered from end to end with craft supplies, baking paraphernalia and everyday kid stuff like Polly Pockets, reusable juice boxes and the like.
And the girls an I said our Official Good bye to Auntie Yoli. Shockingly we only got a tad weepy when she first arrived and instead spent the evening laughing
And now onto what you all came here for, the recipes.....
What is What's Cooking Wednesday and how can I play?
What's cooking Wednesday was born out of a desire to get out of that what's for dinner rut. Playing is easy, on Wednesday post a recipe that has been tried and tested by you and then pop over here and add your name to the Mr. Linky. When entering your name also add the name of the recipe in brackets and make sure you link to your What's Cooking Wednesday post and not just your blog's front page. And don't forget to link back here, the home of What's Cooking Wednesday.
So for example I would write Shan (Speedy Chicken Stir Fry) in the name section. For the URL section I would post this: http://shanrev.blogspot.com/2007/10/whats-cooking-wednesday-speedy-chicken.html
I'll let you in on a little secret. Much to Kaffy's chagrin, my WCW recipes are almost never made on a Wednesday. So feel free to cook and photograph whenever you have time and join us posting on Wednesday.
