happy valentine's day, here's a blob

This morning Abby wrapped her arms around me and told me she loved me with a big smile. She was excited to go to school to celebrate Have a Heart Day and it showed all over her face.

Me: I love you too. You know you have my heart right?
Abby: Yep.
Me: Where do you keep it?
Abby: Right here. (she pats a spot over her own heart)
Me: Awww. (as I melt into a pile of goo)
Abby: You know our hearts don't look like Valentine hearts.
Me: Oh?! (I admit I'm a little thrown by the turn in the conversation) Umm, what does it look like?
Abby: It's just a blob.
