pool fail

Last week was hot! Really hot. The humidex was through the roof. Temperatures were up into the 30's. It was hot.

This coming week temperatures are predicted to be much cooler. Like ten degrees cooler. And rainy. A whole week of rain.

So yesterday, on the last day of this heat wave, we did the only the only sensible thing we could do and finally had the pool filled with water fresh from the Arctic. Water so cold, even penguins would refuse to swim in it.

We're hoping it warms up by August.

Yep...the 14 day forecast calls for below average temperatures the whole flippin' time.

And, we are getting our pool filled tomorrow (last year after we bought the pool, because we were tired of sweltering, it instantly cooled off and stayed that way for the rest of the summer). I think we have a pool-curse goin' on.

At least you have the space for a pool!

LOL!!!

It's NEVER hot enough for here for any length of time to be able to count on pools being sun-heated. People that have pools here, heat them and spend lots of money doing so! The rest of us haul out kiddy pools in various sizes for the kids on extra hot days (which is anything above 75F...ha ha!), or sprinklers.

MP - I think we may have the same curse. At least I'm in good company.

Betsy - yep, we're lucky.

Leah - I think we have your weather here now. You can have it back:)
