sunday randoms

I know you're not going to want to hear this, but Christmas is going to be here before we know it. Time to get Operation Less is More and It's The Thought That Counts #2 underway. A few days ago I went through my tickle trunk and figured out what I'd already bought. Now to plan out what to buy and make, with an emphasis on the make!!

So in three short weeks I am going to be running in the Santa Shuffle 5k with my cousin and my sister in law (it's her first race!!! So proud of that chick!). Abby was excited and very interested to learn that a lot of these races have a 1k option, so after a very cute sweet phone call to one of my best girls ML, The Abster will be walking in the 1k Elf Walk!! The Santa Shuffle/Elf Walk is a fundraiser for the Salvation Army, I have deep respect for the work they do, especially at Christmas time. I have set a very small goal for myself. I'd like to raise $50 for this worthy cause, so I just need 5 people to sponsor me $10 and I'll make it. Please consider donating, just type Shannon Revill into the search box to donate.

So we just finished watching season one of Shameless. It's a great show... wildly inappropriate at times, but fantastic! William H Macy is really incredible in it. The only problem is season two isn't out on dvd yet, so now what series should we watch? Any suggestions?

I play Scrabble, daily, against two really great Scrabble players and I begged Mike to start playing against me, just so I could practice and... you know... maybe beat those two ladies every once in a while. Well it appears I have created a monster...... a Scrabble monster. He's now started two scrabble games against me and hollers at me from the back room if he feels I am taking too long to take my turn. Oy, be careful what you wish for, as they say.

There has been entirely too much fighting and yelling around here lately. Every little job or request is met with groans and bickering and complaining and in some instances, flat out refusal. I'm not even sure what to do about it. Something has to change because my patience has become incredibly thin and I normally have buckets of it. Do you have a system for making sure household chores and homework gets done?

Oh and how was your weekend?

Do you have netflix? I am watching "Damages" on it and I am enthralled. I just finished season 1 of 5.
