giving

Well I am knee deep in organizing and planning and making lists and sending billions of emails.... which reminds me I have one more to send tonight..... I guess we'll call this the beginning of the busy season. I really do enjoy this part of it. Putting all the pieces together. The Jersey Girls have their second annual spaghetti supper coming up quickly and I hope my team isn't getting too tired of all my facebook messages.

I recently read that volunteering makes you happier and healthier and I truly believe it. That's very likely why I continue to take on more and more projects. I am lucky to share my life with a man who feels the same who is helping me raise children to feel the same. Not to mention the like minded friends we have collected along the way.Sure it's a lot of work, but I'm almost always surrounded by people that make it so much fun at the same time. I'm very excited about the projects I will be working on this coming year, a lot of old favourites and a very big new one. Poppa has recently retired as the manager of our local school fair and Mike and I have stepped in to try and fill his very big shoes. I'm very excited and more than a little nervous and very thankful that although Poppa has stepped down, he's not stepping away.

Do you volunteer? Do you feel it makes you a happier and healthier person?

you are setting such a great example for your children.

I have the intention to volunteer for a neighbouring non-profit organisation, but have not come around to it. Shame on me

I used to volunteer, but now with my kids being younger and having a full time job, its tough to do. But it does give you that feeling of accomplishment and makes you feel like you are making a difference.
